Toni & Guy work...

Thought I'd share some work I did for Toni & Guy. There were a few different themes to the show, I was put in the Doll/History theme. My hair took about 8 hours to do with a bit of waiting around as well! It was a very long day with my hair get dyed, pulled, crimped but in the end the show was successful and really fun. However pulling the wefts out my hair which were stuck on with hair glue was painfulllll!...but worth it...

The Perfect Suit!

My friend John recently sent me a link of a very interesting documentary looking into the evolution of the gentleman's suit.
'For many 'the suit' is synonymous with all that is dull. But tailor Charlie Allen, Top Man chief designer Gordon Richardson and Sir Paul Smith show Alastair that the suit can be a cutting-edge fashion item and 'armour' to face the world.' - Taken form the description of the documentary, definitely worthwhile to watch if your interested in that sort of thing.

Here is Part 1 of the documentary, the rest are now on youtube!

An example of a great contemporary suit designer in my opinion is Ozwald Boateng. His suits have been worn by the likes of Will Smith to Pierce Brosnan, from David Bowie to Sir Richard Branson. His style is very vibrant and edgy with clean-cut structure.

Wax Tailor - Lost The Way

Wax Tailor - Lost The Way

First Post!

So this is my first post! Not really sure what to write first, decided to make a blog about my interests and what is important to me, things i am intrigued by etc. I think I'll keep this first post nice and short, including a picture from Nice, France where I recently visited. The picture was taken in the old town, up a small street. It's one of my favourite photos that I took whilst there.
